One if the best ways to learn about clothing thru the ages is thru ads. Not only do they display the clothes , but they convey the style and feel that they try to convey. I have been collecting some great adds and plan on displaying them here. Click on the thumbnail for a full view of the ads

    1. First is a great series from the 1956 summer issue of Gentry Magazine. This a seven page spread by Izod for Fathers day. Included is an add for the famous Izod Lacoste.

2. Next is a series of ads from the Reigal Textile Corp. These come from three different magazines but give a rich example of how fabrics - Rayon add richness to your life.

First is from American Fabrice number 10 - 1949
Second is from American Fabric number 15 - 1950
Third is from American Fabric number 17 - 1951
